Who We Are

Sanctuary Director

Kelly Tremba

Kelly has been part of the farm for over 20 years. Her favorite animals are Elliott (seen above), Finn, and all her bottle babies. She can often be found hauling hay, grain, or a million other things to keep the farm afloat.

Barn Manager

Heather Jenkins

Heather has been part of the team since 2016. Her favorite animals are Harvey, Popcorn, and all the baby goats she’s had in her house (especially Bruin). Her favorite things to do around the farm are grooming animals and whipping out her label maker.

Weekend Barn Manager

Erin Sullivan

Erin has been a member of the team since 2022. Her favorite animals are Poppy (seen above), Majack, and Nessie! She enjoys doing grains and helping with the animals medical needs!

Christopher "Cubby" Johnson

Cubby has been a member of the team for over 15 years! His favorite animals are Atlas and the big pigs! His favorite things to do are building stuff and snuggling with Atlas!

Diane LaValle

Diane has been a member of the team for over 15 years! Her favorite animals are all of her birds (of course!) and Brady! She enjoys singing in her coops while she cleans and handing out treats!

Zoë Landolt

Zoë joined the team in 2020 first as a volunteer, then as our first ever co-op student! Now, she returns to us on breaks from her studies at Truman State University! Her favorite animals are Hera (seen above) and Maisie Moo! She loves grooming and bathing animals and helping out with social media!

Olivia Cunningham

Olivia first started in 2020 as a co-op student and has rejoined us as her college schedule allows! Her farm faves are Brady and Mulligan and she loves relaxing with the goats in their field!

Kylie Rodrigues

Kylie has been a part of the team since 2024. Her favorite animals on the farm are Pikachu the rooster, Dallas the pig, and Rascal. Her favorite activity is turning the animals out to play each day!

Emma has been a member of the team since 2025! Her favorite animals are the late Duckiana (seen above </3), Majack, Pikachu, and Bucket. Her favorite thing to do on the barn is give Malone his sweet treats at the end of the day!

Tessa Howard

Tessa has been a part of the team since 2025! Her favorites are Emerson (seen above), Majack, and Rascal. She loves getting to spend extra down time with the animals!

Michael has been a member of the team since 2024! His favorite animal is Auggie and he loves driving the Kubotas to get hay and shavings!

Caitlin joined the team in 2025. Her favorite animals is Quincy (pictured above) and she loves to spend her spare time brushing him!

Animal Caretaker Position:

Qualifications

• Individuals must be self-motivated, have reliable transportation, be able to regularly lift 50lbs, be willing to learn, like being outdoors in all weather, and can work well with others

• Must be comfortable, compassionate, and courteous around animals both big and small as we are home to horses, cows, donkeys, alpacas, pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, waterfowl, dogs, and more!

• Must be able to perform strenuous physical activity throughout your shift, including repeatedly lifting 50lb

• Must be able to follow detailed instructions and ask questions as needed

• Must be a team player who works well with others but can also work independently

• Must be punctual, reliable, dependable, and able to communicate effectively and respectfully with team members and managers and respond to feedback in a constructive way

• Must have a positive attitude and willingness to work in a challenging environment

• Must have the ability to adapt to changing situations, including emergencies, as things don’t always go as planned working with animals

• Must be physically (and mentally) able to perform all assigned tasks in any weather conditions, including harsh winter weather, summer heat, heavy rain, etc

• Must be committed to the mission of the organization

• The right candidate will be able to learn a lot about the care, behavior, and personality of a variety of different animal species!
